CAMP SOLD OUT

Saturday, Nov. 22
Wolverine softball camp
filled up, sold out once again

SOLD OUT. That's the status of the Wolverines Softball Prospect/ Skills Camp, being held two weeks from this Saturday, November 22, at the Wesley West Field House, 511 Mary Street, Dover, DE. The Reynolds DuPont softball diamond is at the same location. Click here for the blog entry about the field.

A full camp is typically the case for the Wesley Wolverines.

This year high school players will be arriving from five states – Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York – for an intense day working out with the Wesley softball squad, whose teammates also hail from the same five states plus Wolverines with homes a bit farther away: one from Florida and another from California. Even Kansas is represented, if you count Head Coach Juli Greep's roots.

Wolverines 2014 ready to play a game!
The prospects number a total of 45 with several more on a waiting list that can be quickly tapped should anyone drop out at the last minute.

There will be 20 high school seniors attending along with 17 juniors and 8 from sophomore and freshman classes. The Wolverine team will have 17 players as well as coaches at the camp, too.

“It's going to be a really packed house,” said Head Coach Greep. “We will have a very competitive and exciting camp.”

The softball camp runs all day from 8:30 AM until 5:00 PM. The sessions will emphasize mechanical and technical skills, including hitting, fielding, pitching/catching and base running. Athletes will showcase their abilities both individually and as part of a team. Lunch and a campus tour also are included.
