Saturday games celebrate
Military Appreciation Day

In a few hours, the Wesley Wolverines will be on the road this holiday weekend to play a special conference game, Saturday, April 4, at the Mary Washington Eagles' renowned softball stadium, one of NCAA Division III softball's finest facilities.
But it is not the teams or the field that will be top billing tomorrow.
Instead, the games will be played under the banner of “Military Appreciation Day … to recognize, honor, and appreciate the people who are willing to sacrifice everything for our freedom,” says organizer UMW senior Pitcher #4 Rachel Watts (Stafford, Va.).
Specifically, the Eagles hope the softball contest with our Wolverines will heighten awareness and earn cash for the Save A Warrior™ foundation.
The Save A Warrior™ program delivers innovative healing processes for active duty military, veterans, and first responders suffering from Post Traumatic Stress (PTS).
“The Save A Warrior program helps warriors get through PTS and helps prevent suicide,” adds Rachel. “It's a great cause, and one that deserves to be fought!”
